The co-founders of Expensya, the Tunisian-French fintech success acquired by Medius in 2023, have launched a new venture: ThunderCode. With operations in both Tunisia and Kenya, ThunderCode aims to disrupt the global software testing industry using Generative AI. The startup has secured $9 million in seed funding to drive its innovation across Africa and beyond.
The round was co-led by Eurazeo and ISAI, alongside Bpifrance and several prominent angel investors, marking strong international confidence in ThunderCode’s vision.

ThunderCode is designed to address one of the most time-consuming and costly parts of software development: testing. Leveraging Generative AI, the platform promises to:

The founders, Karim Jouini and Jihed Othmani, believe ThunderCode can eliminate up to 80% of the manual effort required in traditional software testing.
