Tech company deepens roots in Côte d’Ivoire to accelerate digital innovation, talent development and localized services across the continent
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – Global tech company Yango Group has officially opened its new regional headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, marking a major milestone in its long-term African growth strategy. The UAE-based firm, which operates in more than 30 countries, says the hub will serve as the nerve centre for its expanding footprint across West Africa and the continent at large.
With over 200 employees already in Côte d’Ivoire, Yango plans to grow its local teams and capabilities as it scales operations across the region. The company originally launched in Côte d’Ivoire in 2018 — making Africa the starting point of its international expansion. Today, Yango is active in 16 African countries.
“Africa was where our journey started — and today, we are investing in the future by making Abidjan home to our largest office in Africa and the center of our strategy for the continent,” said Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group.
From Super App to Ecosystem Builder

Yango’s African model is built on a “super app” strategy, offering integrated services such as ride-hailing, food delivery, e-commerce, navigation and digital payments. These services are designed not just for consumers, but also to unlock opportunities for local drivers, couriers, vendors, and entrepreneurs.
As Yango continues to grow, it plans to adapt this model to new markets — creating inclusive digital ecosystems that respond to local needs. The company says its long-term ambition is to build “digital infrastructure that empowers African countries from within.”
Pan-African Talent Investment Through the Yango Fellowship
As part of its expanded regional role, the Abidjan office will also coordinate the Yango Fellowship — an initiative focused on equipping African youth with practical, future-facing digital skills. Initially launched in Côte d’Ivoire, the program is now scaling to a pan-African level, with Abidjan serving as its regional coordination and training hub.
“Our mission goes beyond digital services. We’re investing in the next generation of African tech leaders,” Shuleyko added.
The Yango Fellowship aims to train hundreds of thousands of young Africans, supporting sustainable tech adoption across the continent.
Strategic Commitment to Africa
With a local-first approach and a growing presence in West Africa, Yango Group’s latest investment reinforces its position as one of the fastest-growing digital players on the continent. The company says its blend of global technology and local adaptation is key to helping African cities and economies thrive in the digital age.
