Pan-African opportunity offers fully funded undergraduate, honours, and master’s studies in South Africa
The University of Pretoria (UP), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has officially opened applications for its prestigious Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. The initiative is open to academically talented students from across all African countries, offering full funding for undergraduate, honours, and master’s degrees in South Africa.
The program is designed to develop the next generation of African leaders and changemakers, with a strong emphasis on community service, transformative leadership, and innovation. Scholars selected for the program will benefit from full tuition coverage, accommodation, books, travel expenses, and a living stipend. In addition, students will receive academic support, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities throughout their studies.
According to the University of Pretoria, the program is especially geared towards high-achieving youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to making a positive impact on their communities and across the continent.
